GAIL’s to open in Golders Green
GAIL’s Bakery is set to open at Golders Green in London.
The bakery chain will take residence in the former HSBC bank at 897 Finchley Road, securing the 1,602 sq ft unit on a 10-year lease.
The Grade II listed building sits on the corner of Finchley Road and Golders Green Road, opposite the Golders Green underground and bus stations.
GAIL’s arrival at the building, which was designed in 1913, will mark the first time it has been re-let in history.
The bakery chain first arrived in London on Hampstead High Street in 2005, and now operates around 100 outlets across the capital and the rest of the country.
Andrew Shepherd, director at AS Retail, which secured the letting on behalf of the landlord, said: “We received a lot of interest in this fabulous building but GAIL’s are the perfect occupier to make use of this unique space. They were not phased by the listed nature of the building and we look forward to seeing how they transform the building over the coming weeks.”
