Kensington arcades fully let after five new signings
AshbyCapital has signed five new occupiers for a total of almost 8,000 sq ft of new lettings at Kensington Arcade and Wright’s Arcade in West London.
The signings mean the two arcades are now fully occupied.
Headlining the new lettings is Italian pasta restaurant Bancone, which has signed for a flagship 2,565 sq ft unit at Wrights Arcade. The new restaurant becomes the chain’s fourth in London, joining its other locations in Covent Garden, Golden Square, and Borough Yards.
Also joining Wrights Arcade is coffee shop Treelogy London, which has agreed to take a 143 sq ft kiosk for its second location in the capital.
In addition to the new arrivals, Wrights Arcade includes a 30,000 sq ft Boots store and salad outlet Urban Greens.
Meanwhile at Kensington Arcade, AshbyCapital has completed three lettings: sports apparel company UVU has taken 4,298 sq ft of office space while Bagel Factory and juice bar Crushh have agreed to take 502 sq ft and 414 sq ft retail units respectively.
The new retailers join existing tenants including Intimissimi, Chango Empanadas, Aux Merveilleux de Fred, Pret a Manger, Leonidas and Gails Bakery.
Acquired by AshbyCapital in 2019, Kensington Arcade comprises 15 retail units that form the entrance to High Street Kensington underground station. Connected to the Kensington Arcade is Wrights Arcade, which links the underground station and Wrights Lane, and was created by AshbyCapital and Janson Urban as part of the Kensington Building.
Tom Smithers, property director at AshbyCapital, said: “With these five lettings we are proud to have completed our full roster of tenants at both arcades, where there’s now an impressive range of retailers, restaurants, cafes and brands.
“We are particularly excited to have our vision for Wrights Arcade and the flagship restaurant there brought to life by Bancone, which will offer residents, visitors and our occupiers at The Kensington Building an exceptional dining experience.”
AshbyCapital was represented by Distrkt for the Bancone letting, and Savills for the Treelogy, Bagel Factory and Crussh lettings.
