Applications remain open for Eden Shopping Centre independent business competition

Local businesses looking for a chance to win free unit space and marketing support are being encouraged to enter a competition ran by Eden Shopping Centre.

Applications for the High Wycombe scheme’s ‘Start up to Store’ competition remain open until 10th March, with the winner offered six months-worth of rent-free space.

Business owners who believe a physical space within the centre, sitting alongside national and independent brands, will make a real difference to their businesses are being invited to apply online.

This comes as Eden Shopping Centre welcomes 15 independent businesses – either through store openings or pop-ups – during the first quarter of the year.

New openings at the scheme in 2025 include Sugar Sole, PMG Schoolwear, and Burger Daddy.

Eden Shopping Centre is planning to continue its support for local businesses with further openings, pop-ups, and more in the future.  The scheme is also continuing its partnership with the Heart of Bucks, a community foundation dedicated to supporting charities across Buckinghamshire.

Andrew Norton, centre director at Eden Shopping Centre, said:” At Eden, our goal is not just to be a successful retail destination – but to also serve as a local community hub. Supporting local businesses and charities is at the centre of our values.”

Graze Delights, an independent business which specialises in graze boxes and table grazing displays for events and occasions, now has a physical presence in Eden Shopping Centre, serving a brunch menu.

Regina Smith from Graze Delights said: “Opening my shop in Eden Shopping Centre, has been a transformative journey for my independent business. After years of trading from home, stepping into a physical retail space felt like a big leap, but the support from the centre made all the difference.

“Their accessibility and willingness to help at every turn made me feel both supported and secure. Today my business is thriving, with stronger sales and a growing customer base that I couldn’t have achieved without this opportunity.”
