Japanese restaurant to make East Midlands debut at Highcross Leicester

Japanese sushi and noodle bar concept Maki & Ramen is set to open its first restaurant in the East Midlands at Highcross Leicester.
Opening this May, the 3,340 sq ft restaurant will accommodate over 100 guests, offering the brand’s range of ramen and sushi, along with its signature lager ‘Makibiru’ and Japanese-inspired cocktails.
The new Maki & Ramen at Highcross joins the brand’s other restaurants in locations such as Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Manchester.
Located in St. Peter’s Square, the brand joins a food offering at Highcross that includes well-known brands such as Wagamama, YO! Sushi and Tamatanga.
Michelle Menezes, centre director at Highcross Leicester, said: “Visitors to the centre are always on the look-out for memorable and unique dining experiences, and Maki & Ramen’s reputation for fresh, high-quality Japanese cuisine makes it a perfect fit for Highcross. More than a new restaurant, Maki & Ramen is a vibrant addition to our ever-growing food scene and is one of many exciting additions we have planned over the coming months, as we continue to enhance our shopping and dining experience. We’re delighted that Leicester, and Highcross, will be home to the first Maki & Ramen in the East Midlands.”
