A trio of retailers have signed new leases at the Waterside Centre, with H&M, Next, and The Body Shop all recommitting to the Lincoln scheme.

H&M has agreed to commit to the centre for another 15 years, and is also investing into a £2m revamp which will give the scheme’s largest store a new look and feel.

Meanwhile, Next and The Body Shop have both recommitted to the Waterside Centre for another five years.

Since Waterside Centre was acquired by joint venture partners Lincolnshire Co-op and Wykeland Group in June 2023, the new owners have invested £3m into the scheme.

Other retailers at the 130,000 sq ft centre include New Look, Superdrug, O2, Office, and Skechers, with lifestyle brand Rituals set to open soon.

Mary-Jane Booth, Waterside centre manager said: “H&M, Next and The Body Shop all signing up for years to come is brilliant news.

“It’s a triple boost for Waterside and our customers and means local people and visitors to Lincoln can be sure that three of their favourite stores are staying put.

“We all know that some retailers are looking to reduce their high street presence in other places, but, here at Waterside and in Lincoln city centre, we’re bucking the trend. We’re seeing big retail stores happy to stay and exciting new arrivals, including luxury lifestyle brand Rituals, which is due to open soon.”
