British clothing and accessories retailer Weird Fish has opened its largest outlet store in the UK at Affinity Devon in Bideford.

The relocated store – situated next to Tresspass – extends to 2,000 sq ft and opened at the beginning of May. It features the retailer’s latest shop fit and technology, as well as its range of casual clothing.

Weird Fish has been on an accelerated growth trajectory over the past year, and now operates over 30 stores in the UK. In February, the retailer opened at Dalton Park Outlet in County Durham, another outlet shopping destination.

The opening follows the recent signing of PureGym at Affinity Devon, with the gym operator set to open a 5,000 sq ft space this summer.

Nicky Lovell, head of outlets and retail business development at Global Mutual, said: “At the heart of our leasing strategy is a belief in building purposeful relationships. As such, we are thrilled to invigorate our relationship with the Weird Fish team further, by welcoming them into a new and improved store. We have no doubt this fantastic new store will drive footfall and enhance the shopping experience for all our visitors.”

Ben Mercier, customer director at Weird Fish, added: “Our store at Affinity Devon has seen incredible results, both with regard to sales and footfall, so we are delighted to expand our offering. Visitors to the centre can expect to see a levelled up store with the customer experience at its heart.”
