New managing partner appointed at Levy Real Estate

2nd July 2025 | Jack Oliver

London-based property consultancy Levy Real Estate has announced the appointment of Matt Sharman as its next managing partner.

From September 2025, he will succeed Simon Higgins, who steps down after nine years in the role.

Sharman will become only the fifth managing partner in Levy Real Estate’s 87-year history and – alongside his new responsibilities – will continue to lead the firm’s residential team. Simon Higgins will remain an equity partner, focusing on agency and capital markets.

Founded in 1938, Levy Real Estate provides consultancy services across capital markets, leasing, building consultancy, lease advisory, valuation, and property management. The firm said it remains on a strong growth trajectory, with several hires and service expansions planned in the coming months.

Simon Higgins said: “Matt is an excellent choice to take Levy Real Estate forward. He is an extremely capable individual and brings energy, commitment, and vision to the role. The property world is moving at pace and it’s important that we continue to be at the forefront. It’s been a privilege to lead the business through nearly a decade of sustained growth, and I look forward to supporting Matt and the wider team as we enter this exciting new chapter.”

Matt Sharman added: “It is both hugely exciting and a great privilege to be appointed Managing Partner of a firm I’ve grown with and deeply believe in. Levy Real Estate is defined by its people; talented, committed professionals who share a passion for excellence and a culture of success. That culture has flourished under Simon’s leadership and I’m enormously grateful for his guidance and support and look forward to working closely with Simon and the wider leadership team; Simon Tann, Jeremy Grundy, David Apthorp, Matt Paulson Ellis, and Rob Smith as we continue to build on our strong foundations and provide a best-in-class service to our clients.”
