Livingston Designer Outlet in Scotland has seen significant increases in sales for retailers that have recently invested in store upgrades and refits.

One example is Le Creuset, which relocated to a larger store in November 2024 and has since seen an improvement in its sales results. The kitchenware retailer recorded a year-on-year sales increase of 48% across November and December, as well as a 33% uplift in footfall during the same period.

This momentum continued into the first quarter of 2025, with the retailer achieving a year-on-year increase in sales of 42%, a 31% boost in footfall, whilst the year-on-year sales conversion rate improved by 7%.

Nicky Lovell, head of outlets and retail business development at Global Mutual, said: “It’s clear to see from the performance of Le Creuset at Livingston Designer Outlet that reinvestment into outlet stores is crucial for brands to maintain appeal and stay relevant for customers. The outlet sector continues to go from strength-to-strength and seeing popular global retailers buying into destinations like this is exciting. These refits further emphasise that outlet shopping is very much at the forefront of the some of the world’s most exciting brands and we are delighted to be part of it.”
