Søstrene Grene to make city debut at Birmingham’s Grand Central

Søstrene Grene is set to make its Birmingham debut at Hammerson’s Grand Central this summer.

Taking a 3,500 sq ft unit, the Danish brand’s new store will offer a selection of homewares, furniture, lifestyle products, and craft essentials.

Søstrene Grene’s signing adds to continued leasing momentum at Grand Central, with the brand joining Hobbs, which has upsized to a new 2,900 sq ft space located adjacent to the recently-renewed Phase Eight.

Paul O’Brien, director of leasing and commercialisation at Hammerson, said: “The signing of Søstrene Grene, alongside the upsize of Hobbs and renewal of Phase Eight, reflects the continued investment from leading brands. Retailers are choosing Grand Central because it offers high footfall and visibility, providing a best-in-class platform to engage with their customers. This news follows the recent announcement that Space NK has opened its regional flagship at Bullring, its largest store outside of London, spanning over 4,356 sq ft within the city centre destination.
