Metrocentre’s hospitality hub fully let after Maki & Ramen signing

Maki & Ramen has signed for Metrocentre in Gateshead, meaning The Qube – the scheme’s hospitality hub – is now fully let.
The new 7,065 sq ft unit will be located in Upper Yellow Mall close to recent addition, Tomahawk Steakhouse. Maki & Ramen will serve a range of Japanese-inspired dishes with the capacity of just under 200 covers.
The Qube in Yellow Mall is home to 20 brands covering over 80,000 sq ft of space, and is now fully let to a range of names including Nando’s, Wingstop, and Pizza Express, alongside local independents.
Ben Cox, director at Sovereign Centros from CBRE, asset manager of Metrocentre, said: “The addition of Maki & Ramen further elevates Yellow Mall, underlining the growing demand for quality, Asian-inspired cuisine in the North East. Our ability to bring this restaurant concept to Metrocentre is a sign of the destination’s regional dominance and catchment strength, and our commitment to providing guests with a well-rounded, unique experience.”
This signing follows the recent launch of Activate, which has welcomed over 10,000 visitors since opening in July, and comes as Metrocentre prepares for the arrival of Peppa Pig: Surprise Party.
