Sushi brand picks Bullring for first restaurant outside of London

Quick-service restaurant operator SushiDog is set to open its first location outside of London at Hammerson’s Bullring in Birmingham.
Opening in January 2026, the new 500 sq ft restaurant will be located on Bullring’s upper level, accommodating up to 25 diners and combining dine-in seating with a takeaway counter.
This follows a period of growth for SushiDog, which has developed a following in London with stores in Baker St, Bank, New Oxford St, Bishopsgate, London Bridge, Seven Dials, Soho, Strand, Warren St, and Westfield.
Paul O’Brien, director of leasing and commercialisation at Hammerson, said: “Bullring & Grand Central is in huge demand from the best F&B operators, and SushiDog’s first location outside of London perfectly reflects the appetite we see from operators seeking a landmark presence in the UK’s fastest growing city. SushiDog’s arrival will further enhance our unrivalled line-up of leading names in hospitality and leisure and reinforces Bullring & Grand Central’s status as a premier destination for dining and socialising.”
Situated opposite global retail brands including Sephora and Bershka, SushiDog will join Bullring’s existing grab-and-go dining line-up and look to complement its entertainment offer, which features the likes of TOCA Social and Sandbox VR.
