Golf operator signs at British Land’s Broadgate to tee up UK expansion

Golf-led leisure concept Five Iron is set to open its first European location at British Land’s Broadgate Campus in the City of London.

Located at 1 Finsbury Avenue, the 6,900 sq ft space will anchor the ground floor, featuring eight Trackman simulators offering real-time swing feedback.

The venue will also serve as a sports bar and entertainment destination, showing major sporting events such as Premier League football and Formula 1 races.

This London flagship will mark the first location in a multi-unit franchise agreement which will see Five Iron – which operates over 40 locations across the US, Asia, and the MIddle East – expand across the UK.

Alice Keown, leasing director of hospitality and leisure at British Land, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Five Iron Golf to Broadgate, further enhancing our lifestyle and leisure offering. The launch of Broadgate Central this week marks a pivotal moment for the campus as we introduce a range of new hospitality and leisure brands that complement one another and strengthen Broadgate’s appeal as a vibrant destination. This evolution brings together work, wellness, and socialising in the heart of London, and Five Iron Golf is an exciting part of that vision.”

This comes after British Land announced last month that it had completed 16,000 sq ft of new retail and dining deals at Broadgate Central.

Broadgate offers 289,000 sq ft of retail, hospitality, and leisure space, with Five Iron joining a roster that includes Eataly, Los Mochis London City, Everyman, Monica Vinader, Tommy Hilfiger, and Space NK.
