Ikea opens first outlet store in Northern Ireland
Ikea has opened its first-ever outlet store at The Boulevard in Banbridge, Northern Ireland.
Operating as a pop-up until Spring 2026, the 2,691 sq ft store will serve as a hub for planning services, home furnishings, and online order pick-ups.
The store offers a selection of 150 home furnishing accessories available for immediate takeaway, spanning kitchen, bedroom and living room products. Ikea staff members will also be on hand to support customers.
The pop-up also features a ‘Collect Near You’ point, allowing customers to pick up their online orders. The Collect Near You point complements IKEA’s existing locations in Ballymena, Limavady, and Dungannon, expanding the retailer’s presence in Northern Ireland.
Alastair Coulson, managing director at Lotus Property, owner of The Boulevard, said: “We are thrilled to see Ikea officially open its doors at The Boulevard, as part of its first pop up initiative in Northern Ireland. To become home to so many brands ‘first’ or ‘only’ location is a huge testament to the scheme and our loyal customer base. The arrival of the global home furnishings brand is incredibly exciting as we ramp up for Christmas, and we would like to wish Ikea the best of luck with their new store and look forward to welcoming onsite both new and existing customers from across the region.”
