Guinness World Records to open debut UK venue at London’s O2

20th November 2025 | Jack Oliver

Guinness World Records will open its first permanent entertainment venue in the UK at The O2 in London.

Set to open in late 2026, the 25,000 sq ft venue will look to combine competitive socialising with record breaking feats, with visitors able to attempt over 50 official Guinness World Record titles across six challenge areas.

In addition, the venue will offer themed food and drink alongside souvenirs.

The move into competitive socialising marks the latest diversification of the Guinness World Records business, as it looks to evolve from publisher to global media and entertainment brand.

Alistair Wood, executive vice president of real estate and development at AEG Europe, said: “As the world’s most popular music, entertainment, and leisure destination, we are delighted to be the location of choice for Guinness World Records’ first permanent UK venue. The O2 has played a leading role in the emergence of competitive socialising nationally, and this new concept elevates our offer to another level, delivering an iconic, nostalgic, and family-friendly favourite to London. We have no doubt that the new venue will be a huge hit with our visitors and look forward to welcoming a new stream of record breakers to The O2 next year.”

Guinness World Records: London will join a leisure and experiential offer at The O2 that includes Mamma Mia! The Party, TOCA Social, Activate, Hollywood Bowl, and iFly Indoor Skydiving. Between January and October 2026, leisure sales were up by 23% at The O2 compared to the same period the previous year. This follows a period of growth in 2024, during which leisure performance was up by 10% year-on-year.

LM Real Estate (formerly Lunson Mitchenall) acted on behalf of The O2, whilst Savills acted for Guinness World Records.
