The Liberty Romford brews up Costa Coffee opening

Costa Coffee is set to open at The Liberty Romford, adding to the East London shopping centre’s food and beverage offering.

The coffee shop operator will open at the scheme in early 2026, having signed for a 4,096 sq ft space with 90 covers.

The signing of Costa Coffee follows a number of high-profile signings at The Liberty Romford in recent months, including Kids Play Village, Gootopia, Pret a Manger, and Moana Poke Bowl.

Daniel Tucker, leasing manager at The Liberty Romford, said: “We are always looking for ways to enhance our community offer at The Liberty Romford, whether it’s across retail, leisure, or F&B. We are proud of our ability to attract some of the UK’s leading brands to the centre, and the signing of such a large Costa Coffee outlet is testament to this.”

Simon Carr, acquisition manager at Costa Coffee, added: “At the very heart of Romford, The Liberty Romford’s diverse tenant mix resonates with the local community and pinpoints it as a prime location for us to serve our Nation’s Favourite coffee with heart. We look forward to opening shortly, and to delivering a space where people can meet, take time out and enjoy their coffee.”

Green & Partners and Cushman & Wakefield acted for the scheme owner Redical, whilst RAB Retail represented Costa Coffee.
