Gloucester Quays welcomes pair of new openings

Peel Retail & Leisure has welcomed the openings of Mr Simms Sweet Shop and Brand Eyewear at Gloucester Quays.

Making its debut, Brand Eyewear has opened a 505 sq ft store at the outlet shopping destination. The space offers a range of eyewear from brands such as Ray-Ban, Oakley, Ralph Lauren, Giorgio Armani, and DKNY, and also features a ‘Lens Bar’ for visitors to test out lens colours, reflection coating, and frame materials.

Also joining the scheme is Mr Simms Sweet Shop, which has taken a 2,117 sq ft unit. Opening its third outlet store in the South West, the confectioner adds to the family-friendly offer at Gloucester Quays, which includes the recent addition of leisure operator Clip ‘n Climb.

Paul Carter, asset director at Peel Retail & Leisure, said: “The openings of Mr Simms Sweet Shop and Brand Eyewear signal the broad offer Gloucester Quays has become known for. Being a crossover outlet means catering to every want and need, and every visit purpose. These additions highlight our commitment to delivering that, securing exciting retail, elevating the experiences of our guests, and creating that full day-out environment alongside the huge variety of F&B and leisure.”

These openings follow the announcement that three new food and beverage concepts have taken space at Gloucester Quays this year: Banchina Italian has made its city debut; Muse Brasserie has brought French fusion cuisine to the destination; and COSMO Restaurant Group’s Umami will open this summer.
