Manchester’s Trafford Centre is celebrating a strong growth in 2026, supported by new commitments from fashion brands at the scheme.

The centre has welcomed a number of new openings and upsizes in the year-to-date from brands such as Garage, Stradivarius, Lululemon, and UNIQLO.

Fashion has been a standout category at Trafford Centre, contributing to 65% of total sales growth in Q1 alone. Fashion category sales have also increased by 27.3% year-on-year in the same quarter, showing an increase in customer engagement with fashion brands across the scheme.

This trading performance coincides with a busy period of leasing activity across the destination. UNIQLO announced its second Manchester store opening at Trafford Centre, making Manchester the only city outside of London to host two UNIQLO locations. Stradivarius also announced the upsizing of its store at the centre, opening a new 13,500 sq ft store.

Meanwhile, Lululemon has added to Trafford Centre’s premium athleisure offer, upsizing its current store, while fashion and apparel brand GARAGE is set to join the scheme.

Kate Pearson, portfolio leasing director at Pradera, said, “Trafford Centre has seen a fantastic start to 2026, which reflects its outstanding offer, along with the breadth and quality of brands continuing to bring their businesses to the destination. We continue to see strong demand from brands looking to host stores at Trafford Centre thanks tothe scale, footfall and long-term growth opportunities that it delivers.”
