Multi-Realm’s Lakeside Village Outlet in Doncaster has expanded its food and beverage offering with the opening of Jamaica Blue.

The coffee shop operator has opened a 2,210 sq ft café, offering coffee made from beans grown in the Blue Mountains of Jamaica. It also serves a menu comprising, breakfast, lunch, and brunch dishes.

With 98 million cups of coffee consumed in the UK daily and 80% of consumers visiting a coffee shop at least once a week, Multi-Realm said the outlet sector is poised to welcome more food and beverage operators as increasing numbers of guests punctuate their trips with a drink and a bite to eat.

Louise Evans, asset management and leasing director at Multi-Realm, said: “This is great news for Lakeside Village as demand for more food and beverage options has been climbing steadily. The scheme has proven itself to be well suited to a mix of both grab and go from the local business community as well as longer stay casual dining options from visitors from the regional catchment.

“We have been tracking coffee sales across the Multi-Realm portfolio with some centres now reaching conversion levels in excess of 72%. We are positive Jamaica Blue will thrive in their new location and extend the dwell time at the scheme currently celebrating its 30th birthday.”
