Rochdale Riverside reaches 92% occupancy following Peacocks signing

Rochdale Riverside has now reached 92% occupancy following the signing of Peacocks by RivingtonHark on behalf of Rochdale Borough Council.

The retailer has taken a long-term lease for a 10,181 sq ft unit, and is scheduled to begin trading from October.

The signing follows a 15.3% year-on-year footfall increase at Rochdale Riverside, with almost 200,000 shoppers visiting during July, continuing an upward year-on-year trend throughout 2026.

Having opened in Spring 2020, Rochdale Riverside spans 200,000 sq ft and is anchored by a 50,000 sq ft M&S store and a six-screen Real Cinema, and is home to national retailers including Next, H&M, Boots, and JD Sports.
