Derbion bolsters retail lineup with five new additions
Derbion in Derby has bolstered its retail offer with the signings of independent toy store BarnDawg, bakery school Dew, and health and beauty specialists Savers, Thérapie, and Royal Oud.
BarnDawg, a specialist in building brick sets including LEGO, will occupy a 1,112 sq ft store after signing a five-year lease, while bakery school Dew has signed a five-year lease for a 1,340 sq ft space.
In addition, Savers has signed a 10-year lease for a 3,207 sq ft store which will include a range of health and beauty products alongside household goods, medicines, and fragrances. Meanwhile, Thérapie has signed for a 2,004 sq ft clinic offering laser hair removal, cosmetic injections, and skin treatments. Derbion is also set to welcome fragrance specialist Royal Oud, which has signed for a 655 sq ft space.
These signings come as health and beauty continues to perform well at Derbion, with the sector becoming the centre’s biggest turnover category contributor. Over the past two years, five of Derbion’s health and beauty retailers have refitted or relocated, investing a combined £3.37m in their stores. The scheme has also recently welcomed Bodycare and Bath & Body Works, both of which have opened flagship spaces.
Beth McDonald, managing director at Derbion, said: “The lettings to Savers, Thérapie and Royal Oud highlight the strong demand we are seeing from health and beauty retailers eager to take space or enhance their units at Derbion. With the recent arrival of Bodycare and Bath & Body Works we are cementing our reputation as the home of health and beauty in the East Midlands, and somewhere the leading brands want to be.
“Meanwhile, we expect to see BarnDawg and Dew become popular favourites amongst our shoppers, and we really look forward to welcoming them to Derbion as we continue to curate a diverse tenant mix which caters for people of all ages.”
