The Knightsbridge Estate adds quartet of brands to Brompton Road

The Knightsbridge Estate has signed Varley for a new store on Brompton Road in London, with the addition of the contemporary lifestyle brand becoming the latest in a series of recent openings and lettings on the street.

The brand – which was founded in 2014 by Lara and Ben Mead – will take a 3,965 sq ft store at 77 Brompton Road for its third location in the UK. The store will offer a range of clothing for women, including knitwear, outerwear, activewear, and accessories.

This signing follows the recent opening of Dutch luxury fashion and lifestyle house Aurélien’s first UK flagship at 59 Brompton Road in July, spanning 3,228 sq ft. Footwear retailer OFFICE followed in August, which opened a 4,385 sq ft store at 73 Brompton Road.

Additionally, Onitsuka Tiger will also join the estate, with the footwear retailer having signed for a 3,996 sq ft store at 39-41 Brompton Road.

Ben Mead, co-founder and CEO of Varley, said: “London has always been an important market for Varley, and we’re delighted to be opening our third UK store on Brompton Road. With its distinctive mix of fashion, lifestyle, and retail destinations, the area feels like a natural fit for us. This opening marks another exciting milestone in our UK growth, and we look forward to welcoming more customers to the brand.”

Sarah Waller, senior asset manager at The Knightsbridge Estate, added: “Retailers are becoming increasingly selective about where they invest, prioritising high-quality space in destinations with an established customer base and a complementary mix of brands. The recent openings of Aurélien and OFFICE, alongside new lettings to Onitsuka Tiger and Varley, underline the confidence brands have in Brompton Road. At The Knightsbridge Estate, we are responding to that demand by building a balanced mix of premium fashion, footwear and lifestyle brands that feels accessible yet aspirational. That breadth gives people more reasons to visit Brompton Road and is central to the long-term proposition.”

The signings sit alongside a wider programme of investment across The Knightsbridge Estate. Public realm works on Hans Crescent are due to complete in November 2026, which will introduce new paving, planting, trees, lighting, and integrated seating. The scheme follows the pedestrianisation of Basil Street and the delivery of a new step-free entrance to Knightsbridge Underground Station.

Property consultants Colliers and Cushman & Wakefield advise on retail leasing across The Knightsbridge Estate and represented the landlord in all transactions.
