Ann Summers has appointed Maria Hollins as chief executive officer, following on from the death of its former boss, Jacqueline Gold, in March.

Hollins is currently managing director at the lingerie brand, having joined the company in February 2019.

Prior to joining Ann Summers, she worked in various roles at retail firms including Asos, House of Fraser, and Kidly.

Ann Summers said: “Maria’s excellent leadership, strategic vision, and unwavering passion has led Ann Summers to enjoy great success in recent years, and as CEO she will continue to lead the way, shaping the future of our brand.”

She succeeds Vanessa Gold, who took over as CEO in February while Jacqueline Gold stepped back into the position of executive chair a month before her death.

Maria Hollins said: “I could not be happier to follow in the footsteps of two fabulous women Jacqueline Gold CBE and Vanessa Gold leading this iconic brand & brilliant team through the next chapter of our story. Honoured & delighted.”
