Barclays banks on new branch at Chatham Maritime

Barclays Bank is set to open a full-service branch at Dockside at Chatham Maritime, designed to serve the Medway region in Kent.
The new branch will offer a range of services, including personal and business banking, financial advice, and modern digital banking solutions.
Barclays will be situated on the scheme’s frontage, joining brands such as McDonald’s, Loungers, Zizzi, Wagamama, and M&S.
The move follows the relocation of Clarks and Choice at Dockside to newly-fitted out stores situated next to The Range’s anchor store.
The wider Chatham Maritime development sits on a 300-acre waterfront regeneration zone and features dockyards, an independent distillery, and a marina. The Dockside centre is currently shifting from a predominantly outlet-focused offering into a mixed-use destination for retail, dining, entertainment, and business and community services. It sits opposite St Mary’s Island, a new 5,000-home residential community.
Peter Everest, managing director of WD, which owns Chatham Maritime, said: “Barclays’ arrival here at the heart of Chatham Maritime reinforces our vision of an all-day waterfront destination combining brilliant brands and everyday convenience to cater for the needs of the Chatham and wider Medway region. Barclays will play a key role in supporting the local economy and enhancing convenience for our visitors, while its prominent location at the front of the scheme, alongside other leading brands, will further elevate the Chatham Maritime experience.”
