Broadwick converts London warehouse into multi-use events space
Broadwick has reimagined a former Ikea warehouse in North London’s Meridian Water zone as a 608,000 sq ft multi-storey events space.
Drumsheds is set across four event spaces, with provisions for concerts, film sets, fashion shows, and corporate events.
Broadwick has previously provided spaces for brands such as Printworks, Magazine, Landing 42, and Depot Mayfield.
The venue is being operated by Broadwick’s Spaces & Stories events space company.
Drumsheds’ biggest space is the X-Room. At 109,813 sq ft, it is capable of accommodating 15,000 people. The room is host to an in-house stage, PA, rigging, and dressing rooms.
The second-largest space is the 5,000-capacity Y Room, which has a flexible layout designed for music, fashion shows, or filming.
Drumsheds’ smallest space is the 1,000-capacity Z Room, designed for more intimate events.
The Gallery is 66,456 sq ft space capable of accommodating 5,000 guests designed for a variety of purposes, including as an extension of the other spaces.
Simon Tracey, CEO of Broadwick, said: “We are proud to welcome Drumsheds into the Broadwick Spaces portfolio, at 608,000 sq ft it becomes our largest venue to date and provides unlimited opportunities for our clients.
“Set to be one of London’s most impactful cultural spaces, Drumsheds offers boundless potential for filming, fashion shows, product launches and more. A space for brands looking to disrupt the norm.”
