Co-op reopens three stores following refurbishments

Co-op Group has reopened three community stores following extensive renovations.
The group has undertaken a number of improvements at its stores in Topsham in Devon, Scarborough, and Tupsley in Hertfordshire.
New features at the shops include improved refrigeration, as well as an increased focus on fresh and healthy produce. This sits alongside the group’s existing offer which includes: food-to-go; meal deals; frozen food; dairy; bakery; Fairtrade products; pizzas; flowers; ready meals; wines; and every day essentials.
The reopenings come as Co-op looks to makeover around 80 of its stores in 2025. Additional features which will be introduced into Co-op stores over the coming year include parcel collection services, payment services via Paypoint, soft plastic recycling, and cash machines.
The stores will also act as fulfilment hubs for the group’s strategic partnerships with the likes of Just Eat, Deliveroo, and Uber Eats.
Co-op is one of the world’s largest consumer-owned co-operatives, dating back 180 years. It is owned by 6.2 million members.
