Colliers has made three appointments to its UK retail team, with the incoming hires bringing a combined 18 years of retail sector experience.

Cal Robinson returns to the commercial real estate services company, taking on the position of associate director within the firm’s Leeds office.

With a decade of experience in the retail sector, Robinson has previously worked at Selco and Asda, where he was part of the acquisitions team. A qualified chartered surveyor since 2017, he specialises in agency, acquisitions, and disposals.

At Colliers, he will focus on national leasing, particularly in acquisitions on behalf of occupiers such as EG On the Move, Screwfix, and Sainsbury’s.

Meanwhile, Angus McMillan joins Colliers’ London office as a senior surveyor. He begun his career at Lambert Smith Hampton – amassing four years of experience in retail leasing and advisory – and qualified as a chartered surveyor in 2023.

McMillan will be part of the national leasing team, focusing on landlord representation and occupier advisory work for clients including Landsec, Oliver Bonas, Santander, Invesco, Bupa, and Aberdeen.

Finally, Adam Hockley has joined Colliers’ retail lease advisory team in London. He started his career as a graduate at CWM in 2021 and, following a secondment to Pret A Manger, moved to CBRE after its acquisition of CWM in 2022.

Now a qualified chartered surveyor for 18 months, Hockley brings four years of experience in lease advisory and asset management. In his new position, he will advise landlord and occupier clients on lease advisory and asset and estate management, with a focus on the retail and F&B sectors in London and regional high streets.

Dan Simms, co-head of UK retail at Colliers, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Cal, Angus, and Adam to the team. In 2024 we completed over 1,400 deals for our clients and their expertise and experience will be invaluable as we continue to build our retail agency and lease advisory capabilities. These strategic hires reinforce our commitment to the retail sector and addressing the evolving needs of the sector and enhancing client support across the UK.”
