Five Guys planning second Norwich restaurant

7th September 2023 | Jack Oliver

Five Guys has submitted a planning application to Norwich City Council as it looks to open its second restaurant in the city.

The American restaurant chain is eyeing the former Frankie & Benny’s restaurant at Wherry Road, which closed in May.

It is planning to make a number of changes to install new indoor and outdoor signage at the property.

Five Guys, which operates around 160 restaurants nationwide, currently trades from a site on Norwich’s Orford Road, which it opened in October 2016.

The chain is reportedly eyeing further expansion in the UK, with scope for an additional 150 sites including at transport hubs.
