Flooring Superstore opens two new stores as part of wider expansion
Flooring Superstore has opened two new stores in the space of a week as the retailer targets further growth in 2025.
The flooring retailer invested £400,000 into new stores in Cannock, Staffordshire and Bishop Auckland, County Durham, which become the brand’s 44th and 45th stores in the UK respectively.
The openings come less than six months after the launch of another store in Ashford, Kent, and are reflective of Flooring Superstore’s strategy to increase its footprint, with further stores planned throughout the year.
The Cannock store, which opened on 11th January, spans 4,000 sq ft and is situated on Orbital Retail Park, which was recently acquired for £27m by British Land. Flooring Superstore joins other retailers such as M&S, Boots, Pets at Home and Aldi on the 123,000 sq ft retail park.
The 3,600 sq ft Bishop Auckland store, which opened on 18th January, is situated at Abraham Retail Park. The scheme is also home to retailer’s such as Boots, Next, Sainsbury’s and Starbuck.
Flooring Superstore managing director Dan Foskett said: “We’re pleased to have started 2025 with a bang by opening two new stores within one week of another.
“Both stores are in fantastic, thriving locations with high footfall and we’re looking forward to introducing even more people to our brand.
“After Ashford in 2024 and now two stores opening in January 2025, we are certainly not stopping there and are excited about making further announcements on new Flooring Superstore locations as the year progresses.”
