Gym operator looks to snap up 20 new sites

Gym operator Snap Fitness has released its latest requirements list as it targets an additional 20 sites in the UK and Ireland.

The operator is targeting units ranging in size between 6,000 sq ft and 12,500 sq ft. Units located in retail parks or roadside locations are preferred, especially in areas with nearby free parking.

Founded in 2003, Snap Fitness now operates over 1,000 gyms across more than 20 countries.

Having opened its first site in Kent in 2012, Snap Fitness has grown to become the sixth-largest gym operator in the UK and Ireland, with over 100 sites.

The operator was named the UK’s fastest growing UK gym franchise in the 2025 State of the UK Fitness Industry Report, with its membership base having grown by 18% year-on-year against an industry backdrop of 5.4%.
