Hines acquires Bracknell retail park for £49m

Hines has acquired a retail park in Berkshire for a total consideration of approximately £49m.
The American real estate company has purchased The Peel Centre in Bracknell from Landsec.
The Peel Centre comprises 168,000 sq ft of net rental area, and is home to tenants including Poundland, Halfords, Pets at Home, Currys, Home Bargains, The Range, Dreams, and Tapi Carpets.
The asset is situated a short distance from Bracknell town centre, which is home to The Lexicon and Princess Square shopping centres. It is also located in close proximity to an Odeon Cinema and Hollywood Bowl leisure centre.
Landsec had previously listed the scheme for sale in May 2019, handing the retail park a £62m price tag.
