Italian pasta restaurant Padella has opened its first location in London’s West End at 2 Kingly Street in Soho.

The concept – founded by hospitality duo Jordan Frieda and chef Tim Siadatan – has taken a two-storey, 2,300 sq ft unit with space for 80 covers.

Known for its contemporary small-plates approach, Padella offers signature dishes including pici cacio e pepe and beef shin ragu, catering to both quick visits or more relaxed occasions.

Emma Matus, head of restaurant leasing at landlord Shaftesbury Capital, said: “Soho’s hospitality offer continues to evolve, and Padella reflects the calibre of concepts and creativity shaping the neighbourhood. Padella is a highly anticipated arrival, its West End debut an eye-catching addition to Soho’s established mix of best-in-class restaurants, bars, and retail. It will resonate with our diverse audience, introducing offers that can play a part in every different visitor purpose.”

Jordan Frieda and Tim Siadatan, co-founders at Padella, added: “Inspired by our many trips to Italy, Padella was designed to celebrate the joy of simple, high-quality pasta dishes. As we mark our 10th anniversary, our Soho restaurant reflects the continued growth and evolution of our concept. Bringing an affordable, fast-paced, and authentic dining experience to our guests has always been key, so opening in a location that matches our brand’s energy was essential. With its renowned and diverse food and drink scene, Soho is the perfect stage for our West End debut, and we can’t wait to share Padella with this vibrant community.”

This announcement follows the recent news that Vagabond Wines has signed for a Soho location at 14 – 16 Ganton Street. The West End debut will feature the brand’s signature self-pour wine concept, alongside a menu of small plates and nibbles.
