Just for Pets eyes more sites as it debuts new concept

20th June 2023 | Jack Oliver

Just for Pets is looking for more sites to open its new DOG concept, as it makes its debut in Cirencester.

Opening in a 1,476 sq ft space at 3-4 Brewery Court, DOG by Just for Pets has signed for a ten-year lease at £30,000 per annum.

The property has been vacant for several years and has since undergone an extensive refurbishment.

The store is focused on dog health and wellbeing, providing products from high-end brands such as Barbour, Le Chameau, Oxfordshire-based Cocopup and George Barclay beds. The chain’s packaging-free natural treats collection and meat foods will also be on offer.

The retailer is now seeking further sites to expand the concept, alongside its ongoing search for larger premises for more Just for Pets stores.

Carter Jonas has been appointed to lead the search for ideal properties, which would be between 2,500 sq ft and 6,500 sq ft in size located in areas such as Bath, Cheltenham, Hereford, and Stroud. Car parking would be essential for these stores, with a focus on roadside, edge-of-town, and retail park properties.

Stuart Williams, partner at Carter Jonas, said: “Since we came on board in 2020, Just for Pets has opened seven new stores, and each offers a quality of service and great in-store experience supported by terrific teams whose enthusiasm for the community and their work shines through as soon as you walk through the door. It is no surprise that Just for Pets has chosen to harness this energy to introduce a dog-only concept, and I look forward to speaking with landlords over the coming months who might have the ideal spaces to accommodate each brand’s requirements.”
