Landsec under offer to acquire Glasgow’s Silverburn shopping centre
Landsec is under offer to acquire the Silverburn shopping centre in Glasgow from Henderson Park and Eurofund Group.
The real estate investment trust will reportedly pay over £200m for the 1 million sq ft shopping centre, according to CoStar News.
Henderson Park and Eurofund Group acquired the asset in 2022 from joint venture partners Hammerson and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board for £140m. Henderson Park are the majority stakeholder.
Cushman & Wakefield is advising the vendors, whilst CBRE is advising Landsec.
Landsec said in a statement issued to CoStar News: “In line with our strategy, we’ve been clear that we’re considering various acquisition and disposal opportunities that make financial and strategic sense to the business. Unfortunately we’re not able to comment on individual opportunities or market speculation at this time.”
In 2025, Silverburn made a number of high profile signings, including, most recently, to Footasylum, Oliver Bonas, Wingstop, and Oliver Bonas.
