LEGO leads 26,000 sq ft of upsizes, refits, and renewals at Sheffield’s Meadowhall
The LEGO Group is set to relocate its store at Meadowhall, leading 26,000 sq ft of new upsizes, refits, and renewals at the Sheffield scheme.
After more than 15 years at the centre, the toy retailer is taking a larger unit on the Lower Level High Street. The new 4,651 sq ft space is set to open this spring and will aim to act as a hub for the building community, hosting product launches, interactive experiences, and special events.
This comes as Meadowhall this month welcomed refitted and relaunched stores for Tommy Hilfiger, MINISO, and Lakeland. Spanning 2,462 sq ft, Tommy Hilfiger’s new space has been redesigned with an updated interior, stocking the brand’s full menswear collection and introducing womenswear to the store.
MINISO’s 1,759 sq ft location on the shopping centre’s Lower Level High Street has recently opened, taking the brand from a pop-up to a permanent lease. The store has reopened with a new shop front and interior and a broader range of pop culture and lifestyle products. Lakeland has refreshed its 4,052 sq ft space on Meadowhall’s Upper Level The Arcade, launching with a modernised fit-out and complete collection of kitchenware.
Due to launch at the end of the month is Schuh’s revamped 7,734 sq ft store. It will feature a brighter and more open design, introducing digital screens and click-and-collect kiosks, and follows the recently refreshed Schuh Kids next-door. Finally, Hugo Boss has renewed on its 5,559 sq ft store, adjacent to Flannels and opposite the new-look Tommy Hilfiger.
Richard Crowther, retail leasing director at British Land, said: “The investment from existing brands with a long-term vision for, and commitment to, Meadowhall follows a milestone year for the centre, as we celebrated a big anniversary in 2025. It’s no surprise to see substantial leasing demand continuing into 2026, even now at 36 years old the evolution is plain to see, and so many of our brands have their latest store concepts here. The desire from these leading operators to not only stay, but invest heavily in their stores, highlights Meadowhall’s position as an iconic, dominant destination with national appeal.”
Shweta Munshi, vice president of marketing, LEGO retail at the LEGO Group, added: “We are delighted to share that we are relocating and upsizing our LEGO Store within Meadowhall. We are continually investing in our store portfolio, and this new store will be a top retail destination for product launches and events, while acting as a hub for our LEGO community and new builders alike.”
The news follows global fashion group Inditex’s recent signings to bring both Stradivarius and PULL&BEAR to the centre. Joining the existing Bershka and Zara stores, the signings take Inditex’s footprint at Meadowhall to over 70,000 sq ft.
