Lululemon more than doubles presence at Covent Garden
Athletic apparel brand Lululemon has opened an upsized store on Long Acre within The Yards, more than doubling its presence at Covent Garden.
At 8,330 sq ft, the new store represents an upsize of 130% for Lululemon, following a significant investment from the retailer.
Trading across two floors, the store offers both men’s and women’s clothing, as well as accessories for activities such as yoga, running, and training.
The upsized store will also look to complement The Yards’ neighbourhood of office workers, residents, and visitors, acting as a community hub which will host events such as running clubs and group exercise classes.
On behalf of Longmartin Properties – a joint venture between Shaftesbury Capital and the Mercers’ Company – Abi Labbett, Asset Manager at CBRE, said: “As a central day-to-night hub in the West End, we are committed to ensuring The Yards consistently offers something new and unique to not only its visitors, but also its neighbourhood of workers and residents. As a leading sector brand, Lululemon continues to pave the way in activewear whilst crucially championing innovative customer engagement, which for The Yards’ community, is a key component. We are pleased to welcome Lululemon’s upsized store, marking yet another leading brand to reinvest and recommit to The Yards.”
Lululemon’s upsized store joins The Yards’ line-up of sportswear brands which includes Pineapple, Snow+Rock and Runners Need, as well as premium fashion brands on Long Acre such as Levi’s and Reiss. Covent Garden is also home to outdoor apparel and accessories brand, Arc’teryx, and HOKA’s first-ever retail location in Europe.
Hanover Green acted for The Yards, whilst Lululemon was represented by Forge.
