Manchester food hall concept set to launch in 2024
Sessions is set to launch its second landmark food hall in Manchester’s Shipyard, part of the city’s St John’s district regeneration.
The concept, led by former managing director of Deliveroo Dan Warne, will open a 12-kitchen hall at the 30,000 sq ft site on the River Irwell in early 2024.
The launch will mark the opening of the concept’s second flagship site, after debuting at Brighton’s Shelter Hall in 2020. Sessions also opened in Islington in 2022, raising $10m (£7.4m) to help fund its expansion drive.
Mike Ingall of Allied London, developers of the site, said: “We have already established tech and media incubators, and Sessions at Shipyard will be a unique proposition focused on food and entertainment. It will be a great asset and opportunity for Manchester’s independent food operators to create and grow within a UK network.”
Following the openings in Brighton and Islington, Sessions is currently looking at more sites to expand into.
