Mango opens at Lakeside Shopping Centre

Mango has opened at Lakeside Shopping Centre in Essex, offering a range of women’s apparel, accessories, and footwear.

The retailer’s new 4,736 sq ft store is based on Mango’s “New Med” concept, which draws inspirations from the brand’s Mediterranean roots.

Sustainability and architectural integration are key to this new design concept, which aims to create a Mediterranean look and feel achieved through colour and texture. Different areas of the store see warm and neutral tones merged with sustainable and natural materials such as ceramics, tuff, wood, marble, esparto grass, and leather.

Howard Oldstein, centre director at Lakeside Shopping Centre, said: “Mango will be a welcomed addition to Lakeside’s already top-tier and diverse retail offering. As a leading shopping destination, we know Mango’s store will really resonate with our customers and look forward to seeing them embrace this new addition.”

The opening comes as Mango looks to open 20 stores in the UK in 2024, with growth mainly focused on Scotland and London.

Last year, the retailer opened over 10 stores in cities such as London, Manchester, Leeds, and Bristol.
