Mango sees sales jump by a fifth in expansion drive
Mango has seen its sales increase by 20% in the first half of the financial year compared to 2022, recording a turnover of €1.45bn (£1.24bn). This was 30% higher than pre-Pandemic figures in 2019.
The fashion retailer said it had seen good performance in its “key markets” of Spain, US, Turkey, Italy, and India, where it has “ambitious expansion plans”.
In May, the retailer said it was targeting 13 new stores in the UK by the end of the year.
Mango said it has strengthened its network of channels and partners, having opened over 40 stores since December, bringing its worldwide store estate to 2,615.
The retailer said it had also increased its online business by 10% compared to the same period last year.
Toni Ruiz, Mango’s chief executive officer, said: “Our customers value Mango’s unique design proposal and style and we are currently engaged in an ambitious plan of international expansion, in order to continue inspiring the world with our passion for fashion and lifestyle”.
