Mountain Warehouse more than trebles size at Gloucester Quays

Mountain Warehouse is set to more than treble its presence at Peel L&P’s Gloucester Quays, as it brings fashion retailer Animal to the scheme.

The retailer is set to take a 7,000 sq ft outlet store this summer, representing an increase in size of 220%.

As well as outdoor clothing and equipment, the dual frontage store will also offer Animal’s clothing, accessories, and beachwear, after Mountain Warehouse acquired the brand in 2021.

The retailer will relocate from its store adjacent to Skechers, taking up residence next to Levi’s and three doors down from PUMA’s newly-launched 2,184 sq ft outlet.

Paul Carter, asset director at Peel L&P, said: “The recommitment of a top UK retailer in Mountain Warehouse to Gloucester Quays is a huge vote of confidence in the quality of the offer that we have curated here, as yet another retailer opting to upsize within the destination following the success of an existing store.”

Mountain Warehouse and PUMA’s stores will join recent openings Next and Timberland at the Gloucester scheme.
