Multiple independent businesses sign for Halifax’s Dean Clough complex
The family-run Dean Clough complex in Halifax has secured seven leases for independent businesses, bringing a number of new tenants to the site.
Letting a total of 5,000 sq ft of space, the Grade II-listed former mill site has welcomed K Jones Interiors, hair stylist Dawn Walsh, beautician Alina Balika, Dot the Jewellers, and Piece by Piece Physiotherapy.
In addition, award-winning film production company Northpark Pictures has agreed to open a new studio at the Halifax complex.
Existing long-standing tenant The Engine Room has also signed a new lease for its 1,130 sq ft café after securing new ownership.
The signings come as the site, which is owned and operated by family firm Dean Clough Ltd, is undergoing work to deliver new Grade A office space.
Jeremy Hall, chair and managing director at Dean Clough, said: “We are delighted to announce these new operators at Dean Clough, expanding our amenity for occupiers and the wider community. Independent businesses are the life blood of our high street, and we are always keen to offer flexible lease structures to support them. “
The signings follow children’s gymnastics club [jim-nas-tiks] taking 8,146 sq ft of space at the complex as well as online florist Prestige Gifting’s expansion into a 9,677 sq ft headquarters building. Over 50,000 sq ft of office and workspace is currently under offer at the Halifax centre.
