Oliver Bonas relocates to Angel Central

Oliver Bonas is set to open at Angel Central shopping destination in Islington, relocating from its previous store in the London borough.

Taking 2,856 sq ft of space, the independent British lifestyle brand will neighbour anchor retailer H&M as well as Flying Tiger.

The store – which has relocated from 147-148 Upper Street – will stock a range of fashion, homeware, and jewellery, as well as a gifting section – a first for the Islington scheme.

Oliver Bonas will join a range of retailers at Angel Central such as UNIQLO, Rituals, and MUJI, as well as leisure and food and beverage operators including Northwood, Vue, and The O2 Academy music venue.

CBRE and Colliers act for Angel Central, which is under the management of CBRE Investment Management. Oliver Bonas dealt direct.

Louisa Butters, head of retail asset management UK at CBRE Investment Management, said: “Angel Central has observed a very strong first quarter in terms of leasing and performance, and Oliver Bonas’ signing is evidence of this ongoing success. It is a brand which has been on our radar for quite some time and it’s fantastic to have them as part of our retail portfolio and deliver more variety for our visitors.”

The news comes as the destination reports a strong first quarter in 2024, with like-for-like sales increasing by 6.4% versus 2023, and footfall also up 3.7% versus the same time last year. It also follows the news that Italian beauty brand KIKO Milano has opened its new store at the destination.
