P&O sees record wave of bookings
13th March 2023 | Jack Oliver
P&O Cruises has reported a record period of bookings, describing it as its strongest wave ever.
The cruise company saw more bookings during the period between December 15 2022 and March 6 2023 than during any other time since it was founded in 1977.
The most popular destination for cruise-goers was the Norwegian fjords, followed by the Caribbean and the Western Mediterranean.
P&O’s president Paul Ludlow said the period had surpassed all expectations, with record-breaking days throughout.
This follows the recent news that P&O Cruises is joining a number of other cruise operators in scrapping COVID vaccine requirements for passengers.
P&O Cruises is also set to unveil its newest ship, the Arvia, on March 16 in Barbados.
