Quadrant signs F&B operator at Canary Wharf

Quadrant has secured an Italian restaurant operator at YY London, its newly-refurbished 415,000 sq ft Canary Wharf office building.
Big Mamma, founded in Paris in 2015 by entrepreneurs Victor Lugger and Tigrane Seydoux, has taken a 15-year lease on a 9,500 sq ft space, which is set to open in June.
This signing becomes the latest in a number of food and beverage deals to have been completed at YY London. Earlier this year, Eastern Mediterranean restaurant group Brother Marcus announced that it will be bringing its menu of brunch, mezze, cocktails, and wines to the building this summer, after taking 2,861 sq ft on a 20-year lease.
Meanwhile, Danish espresso bar Hagen has recently opened its 17th location at YY London, taking a 1,141 sq ft bar on a 10-year lease.
Big Mamma will join Brother Marcus and Hagen on YY London’s ground floor, facing directly onto the open spaces of Jubilee Plaza opposite the Jubilee Line Underground Station and the new waterfront Eden Dock.
In addition, global financial technology brand Revolut signed a deal last year to relocate its headquarters to YY London, taking 113,000 sq ft of space across four floors at the building.
Tristram Gethin, founding partner at Quadrant, said: “We welcome Big Mamma to YY London. The brand joining Revolut, Brother Marcus and Hagen, is further testament to the building’s quality and the role it is playing in Canary Wharf’s community.”
YY London was acquired in 2019 by a joint venture between Quadrant and funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management, with a view to extensively refurbish the building, which is one of Canary Wharf’s oldest – to a highly modern standard. The refurbishment completed in 2023.
