Redevco has appointed North West-based property services company The Momentum Group as property manager for the White Lion Walk shopping centre in Guildford.

The Momentum Group’s appointment to the 48,000 sq ft mixed-use scheme is its second in Guildford, with the firm managing Bramley House on behalf of property investors Yakel.

The news follows an £8m investment as Redevco looks to transform White Lion Walk into Guildford’s most dynamic retail, leisure, and office destination. Working alongside architecture firm Costorphine & Wright, the scheme as undergone a number of changes, and attracted leading food and beverage operators Chipotle and MooBoo last year.

Chris Bliss and Chris Renshaw, co-founders and directors of The Momentum Group, said: “We are delighted our great working relationship with Redevco is extending from Liverpool to White Lion Walk in Guildford.  The centre has been transformed, so now is a key time to be joining the team to maximise the value of Redevco’s investment.  This second win in the south of England is also an important step in our expansion plans, creating a great platform from which we can grow our geographical reach.”

Claire Yeadon, asset manager at Redevco, added: “We have made a significant investment in White Lion Walk to transform it into a dynamic retail and office location in line with our mission to help towns and cities become more sustainable and liveable.  Following completion of the works, we wanted to bring a new team in to manage the destination and align with our mission, and we are very happy to be continuing our partnership with The Momentum Group.”

The Momentum Group previously completed the redevelopment of Redevco’s 18-20 Church Street building in Liverpool in preparation for the arrival of a number of tenants. In addition, The group’s property management team carried out services at the site prior to its sale, and continues to provide facilities management services to the building’s new owner.

The news also follows the group’s strengthening of its senior leadership team, with the appointment of Yvonne Emmett Cannell and Ian O’Doherty to its board.  Both join as advisors to The Momentum Group’s co-founders, Chris Bliss and Chris Renshaw, and will look to help shape the company as it moves into the next phase of its growth.
