Revo raises £4,500 for The Elifar Foundation at December’s awards ceremony

7th January 2025 | Jack Oliver

Retail and leisure industry body Revo has continued its long-running partnership with The Elifar Foundation, raising over £4,500 for the charity at December’s Revo Awards ceremony.

The Revo Awards look to recognise and celebrate talent within the retail, leisure, and placemaking property sector.

December’s ceremony – which was hosted by A Place in the Sun presenter Laura Hamilton – was held at Flipper’s Roller Boogie at Westfield London, and was attended to capacity by over 300 guests.

The event’s charity partner, The Elifar Foundation, helps to improve the lives of children and young adults with severe learning difficulties and associated physical disabilities.

The money raised during the event will help provide grants for a variety of items such as electronic wheelchairs, specialised seating, eating aids, special beds and trikes, hoists, communication devices, sensory equipment, and specialist holidays.

This year, the Revo Awards saw the addition of new categories designed to ensure places, spaces, projects, and people are rewarded and recognised. The awards look to recognise and reward the best of the best in the built environment, combining elements from the Revo Gold, ACE, and Purple Apple awards to create an awards series that encompasses development, investment, asset management, operations, customer experience, and destination marketing in the sector.

Neil Hockin, head of leasing and joint managing director at Lunson Mitchenall and Revo board member, said: “It was great to once again support The Elifar Foundation at our recent awards ceremony. The charity does such important work to improve the lives of children and young adults across the UK and relies on independent donations as well as being supported by many businesses in the UK retail property sector. The money raised during the Revo Awards will be able to support Elifar’s ongoing work and fund vital equipment.

“It was also great to see so many new and familiar faces at the awards as we celebrate an industry which is certainly continuing to thrive after the challenges it has faced over recent years. The awards are all about celebrating excellence and it was great to reward the outstanding people, places and spaces that have demonstrated excellence in the retail and leisure built environment over the past 12 months.”

Paul Cawood, co-founder of The Elifar Foundation and Revo member, added: “Huge congratulations to Revo for organising this spectacular event. Our heartfelt thanks to the committee for choosing Elifar as the charity for the night, and to all who attended for their kindness and generosity. Every pound raised will go directly to funding specialist equipment for disabled children or young adults.”
