Roxy Leisure Holdings, the group behind the Roxy Lanes, Roxy Ball Room, and King Pins concepts, has announced a change of name and a number of changes at senior level.

The group will now be named Professionals at Play, creating a group brand for its Roxy Leisure and Pins Leisure businesses, as well as a new family-focused concept, Star Pins, which is set to launch this year.

Star Pins will open its first venue in Coventry in November, offering ten pin bowling as well as other games such as mini golf, darts, shuffleboard, ice-free curling, pool, shooting and table tennis. The 32,000 sq ft site will also include an arcade and a food and drink offering.

As well as a rebrand, the group has also announced a number of changes to its senior leadership team, with former Pins Leisure managing director Colin Sadler appointed as Professionals at Play chief operating officer.

Other group-wide changes see Ben Warren appointed as commercial director, Adam Lazenby take on the role of head of people operations, and Joel Mitchell appointed as marketing director.

Matt Jones, Professionals at Play CEO, said: “We are really proud of our growth so far, and see the launch of Professionals at Play as the next step in this journey.

“We have a hugely talented team who are instrumental in creating, rolling out and running our concepts. Our new parent company name gives our brands a clear home along with a base for creating more exciting offers and concepts.”

Roxy Leisure and Pins Leisure now operate 21 sites across 12 cities, with further venues planned over the next 12 months in Bristol, Glasgow, Belfast, Leeds and London.
