Scamp & Dude appoints agents to support growth

Scamp & Dude has appointed Four & Co to support its growth as the fashion retailer looks to open around 10 stores a year.

The retail and leisure property advisory firm will act on behalf of the retailer to identify and negotiate terms for suitable properties across the UK.

Scamp & Dude is seeking units in locations including city centres, affluent market towns, high-quality shopping centres, and popular tourist destinations.

Four & Co has been instructed to acquire stores around 1,800 sq ft in size, ideally on the ground floor, with dedicated sales areas of approximately 1,000 sq ft.

The retailer already has stores in Battersea, Marlow, Edinburgh, Manchester, Brighton, and Cambridge, and is looking to continue this momentum with Four & Co’s assistance. Target locations include Covent Garden, Richmond, St Albans, Guildford, Glasgow, Manchester, Harrogate, York, Tunbridge Wells, and Sevenoaks.

Adam Cohen, partner at Four & Co, said: “We are thrilled to be working with such an inspiring and dynamic brand as Scamp & Dude. Our relationship has already helped the brand secure prime retail spaces and improve terms on existing properties. We are excited to support Scamp & Dude’s ambitious expansion plans across the UK, ensuring they find the perfect locations that align with their brand values and community-focused ethos.”

Jo Tutchener Sharp, founder of Scamp & Dude, added: “The success of our existing shops has highlighted the importance of a physical retail presence in strengthening the connection within our Scamp & Dude community. The appointment of Four & Co to assist our growth underlines our commitment to expanding our presence across the UK, with the goal of having a store within 90 minutes of each of our customers.

“As we continue to grow, we’re also evaluating potential international markets for future expansion.”

Rob Sharp, the retailer’s chief operating officer, said: “It was clear from our early conversations with Four & Co that they understood our brand. That insight along with Four & Co’s experience of acquiring stores for retailers who operate in similar markets will be invaluable in formulating our store strategy and ultimately rolling out our ambitious acquisition programme over the coming years.”

Four & Co recently expanded its presence in the capital after acquiring the agency business of South West London-based firm Evan Pearson. The acquisition took effect at the beginning of September, and saw Four & Co’s frontline team expand to seven members.
