Shaftesbury Capital secures trio of F&B signings at Covent Garden

Shaftesbury Capital is set to welcome three new food and beverage operators to its Covent Garden estate in London.
Making its UK debut is Copain, which will be opening a 460 sq ft café at 54 Neal Street. This will be the bakery’s first location outside of Paris and offer artisanal baked items and coffee.
Meanwhile, Oliphant & Pomeroy will also be making its London debut, taking 600 sq ft within Covent Garden’s market building. The café will offer baked products such as croissants, cinnamon buns, and artisanal ice cream.
Finally, Danish coffee bar Hagen will open a 300 sq ft café just off the Piazza on Russell Street, designed around its signature Room 606 concept. The new space will have a strong focus on speciality coffee and include a dedicated brew bar.
These new additions will join established operators at Covent Garden including Café Kitsuné, EL&N Deli & Bakery, St John’s Bakery and Watchhouse Coffee.
Emma Matus, head of restaurant leasing at Shaftesbury Capital, said: “At Shaftesbury Capital, we’re committed to creating a compelling line-up of food and drink brands that stand out to visitors. We are a trusted launchpad in London for UK debuts and new concepts, as we’ve showcased time and time again, and these additions highlight the continued demand we have from quality, independent names.”
This announcement follows the recent opening of ADOH!, a Sri Lankan street food concept from the founders of Kolamba at 36 Maiden Lane, and the signing of Italian restaurant brand Harry’s, which is set to open at 11-12 Russell Street.
