Shein looks to open 30 pop-ups after launching Dublin HQ

Shein is planning to host 30 pop-up shops in 2023, following the opening of its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) headquarters in Dublin.

The traditionally-online clothing retailer is hosting its next Dublin pop-up from May 12 to May 17, following last year’s pop-up at Jervis Shopping Centre which Shein said attracted 4,000 visitors per day.

Shein said the pop-ups form an integral part of its business model, in which customers can experience the retailer’s product range first-hand.

The 30 pop-ups will all open in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Shein’s Dublin headquarters will host strategic IT hub for EMEA and will be the centre for all operations in those regions.

Ireland’s minister for enterprise, trade, and employment, Simon Coveny, joined the headquarters’ opening ceremony, and described Shein’s arrival as a “vote of confidence”.

Leonard Lin, Global Head of Government Relations for SHEIN, said: “Our Dublin office opening marks an important milestone in SHEIN’s growth in EMEA – which is one of our most important markets. We look forward to contributing to the growth of the local economies and to supporting local communities.”
