Søstrene Grene has opened its first UK store of 2026 at Angel Central, with the Danish homewares brand making its North London debut at the Islington scheme.

The retailer has opened within a 5,588 sq ft unit on the first floor of the centre, situated opposite Wagamama and alongside complementary retailers including H&M, UNIQLO, Mango, and Oliver Bonas.

The store offers a range of Scandinavian-inspired homeware and lifestyle products, including kitchenware, home accessories, crafts, and decorations.

Simon Prince, senior associate at CBRE Investment Management, said: “Søstrene Grene is a vibrant addition to the centre, building on the strong momentum of the past year. Strategically located on the upper level, the store enhances the customer journey by encouraging dwell time and complementing our food and beverage offer to create a more engaging shopping and dining experience. Its arrival further strengthens the diversity of the scheme, giving customers a fresh reason to visit and spend time at Angel Central. We remain committed to delivering a well-rounded retail destination anchored by standout, must-visit brands, and Søstrene Grene is a strong reflection of this approach.”

Angel Central ended 2025 with total annual sales growing 21.0% year-on-year. The centre welcomed 9.5 million visitors throughout the year, supported by a number of openings, including Lovisa, Bababoom, and Therapie Clinic.
